Questions
& Answers

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Dress nice but not fancy, Black Mountain Ranch is a working farm and it is dusty with uneven ground.

What will the weather be like in May?

Coastal California weather is often unpredictable. We're hoping for sunny and mild weather during the day but the evenings can get chilly, so we recommend bringing a comfortable layer.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held just outside the barn. We recommend wearing sunscreen and bringing a sun hat.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

A buffet dinner will be served shortly after with music to follow.

How do I get to the venue? Where should guests park? Is parking free?

14000 Point Reyes - Petaluma Road, Gate 7, Point Reyes Station. Meet all the way in the back of that entrance by the big barn (drive/park to the right • after you pass the first house).

Parking is limited and we recommend carpooling to and from the event.  We also recommend downloading an offline map for navigation while visiting the area. (Instructions for downloading offline maps here: Google / Apple).  And keep an eye out for our signs pointing to the main entry.

What time should I arrive?

3:00 PM

What time does the party end?

Lights out and barn doors shut at 11:00 PM

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

We will be offering vegetarian/vegan snacks & dinner by Bolita. Desserts, agua fresca & café de olla will be provided by Bolita as well!

Beer & wine will also be served.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Please let us know when you RSVP. Or, send us an email!

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Nope, but we have provided a list of nearby places to stay on the website.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Black Mountain Ranch is hosting a pre-wedding hike Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. The hike is approximately 3 miles with a 1300 ft elevation gain within the first mile and a half.  We will be going at a slower pace as the guides stop and talk about the land.  Let us know if you are interested and would like more details.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Point Reyes?

Point Reyes is a part of West Marin. There is so much to do in this area when it comes to outdoor activities and eating. We've shared some places to enjoy on the website HERE, but there's also so much more beyond what we've noted.

Are kids welcome?

Yes!

Are pets welcome?

Can I bring my partner?
